The debut album of SM Entertainment’s nine-girl idol group, Girls’ Generation, aka SNSD (So Nyeo Shi Dae) is filled with sounds ranging from soothing ballads to upbeat dance tunes. The songs are mostly about feeling good and being young, carefree and in love. The album includes eleven catchy, refreshing tracks perfect for different moods or for just spending a peaceful, relaxing day off from class.

(1) Girls’ Generation
(2) Ooh La La
(3) Baby Baby
(4) Complete
(5) Kissing You
(6) Merry-Go-Round
(7) Tears
(8) Tinkerbell
(9) 7989
(10) Honey
(11) Into the New World

The carrier single, “Girls’ Generation”, is a revival of Lee Seungchul’s hit song with the same title, updated by throwing in incredible guitars and beats. The ninth track, “7989”, is the brilliant collaboration of Taeyeon with the renowned Korean singer Kangta. “Honey”, the tenth track, was originally known as “Perfect for You” from their first single released earlier. “Into the New World”, their first hit single, totally completes the album. SNSD is known for the cutesy dance moves and all, so expect an über cute dance for most of the tracks in the album.

My personal favourite is “Kissing You”. I like its positive, happy beat and its super cute and cool dance steps. The Music Video of this song is very nice and playful plus it features Donghae (Super Junior) ~!!! Could not ask for more, eh? I also like “Into the New World”, “Baby Baby”, “Oh La La”, and “Merry-Go-Round”. I have listened to the album for the nth time, so it’s definitely worth checking out. 😉
